Social Media Specialist

We are a new non-profit ready to hit the ground running! We are dedicated to ensuring underprivileged students have access to brand-new clothing, school supplies, and hygiene products. We partner directly with schools across Central Texas to meet the needs of students. Position Overview We are seeking a creative and compassionate Social Media Specialist to hep us share our mission and grow our online presence. This volunteer will play an important role in raising awareness, connecting with the community, and inspiring others to get involved Responsibilities Create and schedule engaging posts for Instagram, TikTok, and Threads, and other platforms Develop and implement a simple social media strategy that reflects our mission and values Help in designing graphics or reels (using Canva or similar tools) to highlight our work and impact Respond to messages and comments to foster community engagement Collaborate with the founder to promote events, donation drives, and volunteer opportunities Track post performance and suggest ways to improve reach and engagement Qualifications Experience in social media management, communications, or marketing Excellent writing and storytelling skills Familiarity with Canva or other design tools Organized, reliable, and able to work independently Passionate about helping children and giving back to the community Details: Location: Remote (preferred volunteers in Texas but not required) Time commitment: 3-5 hours per week, flexible Start date: asap Reports to: Founder Compensation: unpaid volunteer position
