Position Overview We are seeking a highly committed and design-oriented Architect or Architectural Designer with the ability to effectively manage and execute the Construction Documentation (CD) and Construction Administration (CA) phases. This role requires exceptional design abilities and strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
About This Role This position offers an opportunity to work within a studio environment where you will have direct involvement in shaping projects from initial concept through final execution, with significant responsibility for driving projects forward and making meaningful design decisions. You will work closely with principals and collaborators on culturally significant, design-forward projects, with your contributions visible and valued from early research and conceptual exploration to detailed documentation and on-site problem-solving during construction. This role is ideal for someone who seeks growth in a setting that prioritizes critical thinking, design excellence, and hands‑on engagement. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on projects that require both technical precision and conceptual rigor.
Required Qualifications
Professional degree: M.Arch or B.Arch from an accredited institution
Hands‑on experience in DD, CD, and CA phases of design-oriented projects, and ability to independently and collaboratively coordinate and execute the documentation and administration.
Legal authorization to work in the United States (required)
NYC based
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with adaptive reuse projects
Working knowledge of NYC building codes and zoning regulations
Familiarity with art, spaces of space, and cultural/institutional programs
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated skill level.
