Tulsa Opera seeks a dynamic and highly organized Marketing Manager to play a key role in advancing the company’s mission through strategic marketing, targeted sales initiatives, and compelling digital storytelling. The Marketing Manager is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications. The salary range is $40,000-$50,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with match, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance. Tulsa Opera offers a flexible work schedule including the possibility of teleworking on occasion with supervisor approval. Some evenings and weekends are required each month for performances and events.

Established in 1948, Tulsa Opera is the first professional performing arts organization in the state of Oklahoma and the twelfth oldest opera company in North America. Since its inception, it has hosted the greatest artists of the day on the mainstage and in concert, including Renée Fleming, Luciano Pavarotti, Leontyne Price, Beverly Sills, Renata Scotto, Samuel Ramey, and many others. Its repertoire spans a rich mixture of traditional favorites and modern masterpieces.
Tulsa Opera is known for its bold, fresh, and innovative mainstage productions and community-centric initiatives. Outstanding programs such as the Tulsa Youth Opera, the Raise Your Voice Tour, and the Filstrup Resident Artist Company celebrate local talent and serve Tulsans where they live, while Aria Yoga and Songs by Heart, a program serving those living with dementia, bring the healing power of vocal music into the health and wellness space. Tulsa Opera’s engagement and education programs reach over 50,000 Tulsans annually.
Position Summary The Marketing Manager plays a key role in advancing the company’s mission through strategic marketing, targeted sales initiatives, and compelling digital storytelling. The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving audience growth, ticket sales, and brand visibility for Tulsa Opera. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this role designs and implements targeted sales campaigns, manages social media content and strategy, maintains the website and email communications, and supports writing, photography, videography, and graphic design needs. The Marketing Manager collaborates closely with Development, Community Engagement, Patron Services, and other departments to support organizational goals and the company’s artistic mission. Additional responsibilities include digital auditing, event calendaring, media archiving, assisting with Front of House activations, and providing occasional patron services or reception coverage. Working in close partnership with the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Manager helps define the voice and presence of Tulsa Opera in the community. The ideal candidate is a creative and analytical marketer, an excellent communicator, a strong project manager, and an enthusiastic ambassador for opera and the performing arts.
