VHB is seeking a Civil Designer for our Mid‑Atlantic Energy Evolution Practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse renewable energy projects, supporting the development of clean energy and sustainable infrastructure across the Mid‑Atlantic region.

Responsibilities

Develop civil engineering plans and specifications for energy and land development projects.

Conduct field work to collect data, measurements, and site photographs/videos.

Perform data analysis.

Draft plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Assist in preparing land entitlement and permitting documents.

Develop reports presenting design calculations.

Skills and Attributes

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Team oriented with the ability to work independently.

Capability to perform engineering tasks in coordination with the project team.

Strong computer skills; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Experience with PondPack, HydroCAD, StormCAD, AutoCAD S&S Analysis or similar stormwater design software.

Self‑motivated, critical thinking, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.

1–3 + years of land development and/or civil engineering experience.

Prior land development design experience (erosion control, stormwater management, site grading) preferred.

EIT preferred.
