Alma
Hi there! We’re Alma
We’re on a mission to make immigration more accessible, transparent, and human through cutting‑edge technology and thoughtful legal support.
We’re backed by top‑tier investors (Bling, Forerunner, Village Global, NFX, NEA, MVP, Conviction, Silkroad Innovation). Our team combines decades of experience across immigration law, product, operations, and high‑growth startups - all focused on building the modern immigration platform for individuals and companies.
We’re hiring our Founding Product Marketing Manager to define how Alma’s product shows up in the world: our launches, our narrative, our positioning, our customer education, and the connective tissue between Product, Legal, Sales, and Growth.
This is a ground‑zero PMM role with massive scope. You will shape our market story, build the foundation for our PLG and mid‑market/enterprise GTM motions, and craft product narratives that make immigration clear, confident, and actionable for thousands of users.
If you want to help define a category, build zero‑to‑one systems, and translate complexity into clarity - we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do 1. Lead product launches, positioning, and narrative
Own the full product launch process end‑to‑end: positioning, ICP messaging, assets, release notes, website updates, customer education, and internal enablement.
Develop crisp, differentiated messaging frameworks grounded in customer insight, competitive landscape, and legal/technical accuracy.
Translate complex immigration workflows into simple, compelling product stories that resonate with Immigration managers, HR teams, BizOps, as well as individual clients.
2. Build Alma’s product education and content ecosystem
Own all website product copy, user education content, help docs, onboarding flows, and product pages - ensuring clarity across every step of the customer journey.
Turn insights from sales, growth, legal, product, and customer conversations into collateral that removes friction + answers real objections.
Maintain high‑quality product storytelling: diagrams, emails, walkthroughs, feature explainers, and value‑driven scenario examples.
3. Drive PLG adoption, activation, and in‑product experiences
Own in‑product messaging, onboarding, nudges, and activation loops that improve first‑use success. Help build product experiences that drive organic revenue.
Partner with Product & Engineering to identify points of friction and shape the surfaces customers interact with most.
Create simple, efficient processes that reduce load on our legal team (repeatable templates, structured explanations, reusable assets).
4. Support Sales & GTM with clear, high‑quality enablement
Own all product enablement collateral: sales decks, product one‑pagers, ROI comparisons, competitive breakdowns, and case studies.
Collaborate tightly with sales to refine ICP‑specific messaging and ensure consistency across deals, renewals, and migrations.
5. Influence product roadmap through insight and market intelligence
Conduct competitive research and synthesize market signals to inform product strategy and GTM direction.
Bring a strong POV to discussions on pricing, tiering, and reasons‑to‑believe across segments.
6. Build the foundation for a world‑class PMM function
Create launch playbooks, messaging systems, templates, and processes that scale as the PMM team grows.
Bring experimentation into the discipline - testing value props, adoption levers, onboarding flows, and content formats.
Raise the bar on narrative quality, clarity, and positioning across the entire organization.
You Should Apply If You…
Have 3–7 years of experience in product marketing or similar narrative‑heavy roles at a B2B SaaS or startup.
Have translated complex services/products into simple, compelling narratives.
Have been a PMM/operator in a fast‑moving environment and shipped major launches end‑to‑end.
Understand PLG motions and know how onboarding, activation, and in‑product education influence conversions and organic revenue.
Are excellent at cross‑functional communication.
Write exceptionally well and care deeply about clarity, structure, and accuracy (especially important in a legal‑adjacent product).
Are energized by building systems, defining standards, and operating with a high degree of ownership.
Are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy defining “what good looks like.”
You Shouldn’t Apply If…
You want a narrow role focused only on marketing campaigns or growth execution.
You need heavy structure, long planning cycles, or layers of approvals.
You don’t enjoy working cross‑functionally with technical, legal, and GTM teams.
You prefer maintaining existing systems instead of building 0→1.
What It’s Like to Work at Alma We’re a small, mission‑driven team reimagining immigration from the ground up. We value clarity, thoughtful writing, cross‑functional collaboration, and building systems that scale with care. We move fast, operate with low ego, and always center the immigrant experience in our decisions.
You’ll work with teammates across immigration law, AI, product, and GTM - and you’ll have direct influence on how thousands of people navigate life‑changing moments.
Benefits & Perks
Competitive base salary + equity
100% Health, Dental, Vision coverage
20 days PTO + 10 Federal Holidays
$250/month wellness allowance
A front‑row seat to building a category‑defining platform
Opportunities to lead strategy, shape internal systems, and build something new
A Quick Note We know the “perfect” candidate doesn’t exist. If this role excites you but you don’t meet every qualification, we’d still love to hear from you. Immigration is complex. So are people. That’s what makes this work meaningful.
