Civil Designer with
AutoCAD Civil 3D
experience for a long-term career opportunity with our client based in Mobile, Alabama. Overview The CAD Designer/Technicianwill be responsible for producing high-quality engineering drawings, plans, and technical documents to support civil engineering projects. Responsibilities Develop and revise detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D Assist engineers with the preparation of design layouts, construction documents, and technical exhibits Maintain drawing files, project documentation, and CAD standards to ensure accuracy and consistency Translates conceptual designs, sketches, and redlines into final construction-ready and preliminary drawings Coordinate drawing production with engineers and project teams Prepare plan sets including site grading, utility layouts, roadway alignments, and profiles Assist with submission packages for permitting and client approvals Qualifications Associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or CAD Drafting preferred; equivalent experience in land development engineering and drafting will also be considered 1–3 years of drafting experience in a civil engineering, surveying, or construction environment Requirements Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required) Familiarity with civil engineering design concepts such as grading, utilities, and drainage Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Effective communication and collaboration skills
