Telecommunications Project Manager
Location: Farmington, NM
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Responsibilities
Assist OSP Design Engineers with tracking reporting and key metrics to help them understand production and milestone status for various projects.
Lead assigned projects to completion, ensuring timely delivery, meeting budgetary demands, and maintaining overall project ownership.
Use formal processes and tools to handle resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
Communicate with cross‑functional teams including external representatives and other resources to coordinate activities and achieve goals.
Develop, maintain, and lead detailed project plans, action item registers, and major milestone timelines for all assigned projects; plan and direct schedule and budget.
Host cross‑functional project meetings to obtain weekly updates on fiber builds and final activations.
Coordinate resources and needs, maintaining regular contact with vendors for support and services.
Maintain data integrity across databases using V‑lookup and other comparison tools.
Perform data mining to generate visual reports for key stakeholders.
Learn and develop an understanding of all systems, tools, and processes (reporting capacity, ticketing tools, etc.) that support project workflow; suggest improvements.
Work with both construction and planning and design teams managing assigned tasks.
Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Conduct site walk‑outs to meet with business partners and municipalities.
Skills and Qualifications
Prior construction experience in fiber and/or coax.
Ability to drive projects to completion.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organized, detail‑oriented, and personable.
Ability to track and report on milestones.
