The following position is to join our RTX Employee Engagement Team:
The Associate Director, Business HR Communications is responsible for leading, developing and executing strategic communications plans in support of HR priorities across all three business units. Specifically, in this role you will lead HR Communications for Collins Aerospace, while managing, through direct and indirect reporting lines, a team who leads P&W and Raytheon HR Communications to ensure consistency and alignment. In addition, you will support the development and execution of an enterprise people leader flow down strategy and enterprise HR communications as needed.
This position requires a strong understanding of employee and executive communications, experience in change communications and awareness of HR initiatives. You must also be able to demonstrate cross-team leadership, strategic planning, tactical execution and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization.
What You Will Do
Lead HR communications for Collins Aerospace, including the development, execution and measurement of an integrated communications plan aligned to functional, business and enterprise priorities.
Lead executive communications for the Collins CHRO, serving as the Communications lead on the Collins HR Leadership Team.
Lead a team focused on developing, executing and measuring HR communications plans for P&W and Raytheon.
Partner with the Collins Employee Communications team to ensure HR communications and priorities are reflected in the broader communications strategy, editorial calendar and more.
Partner with the Enterprise HR Communications team to align enterprise and BU HR communications plans into a holistic strategy.
Co-lead the development and execution of an enterprise people leader flow down strategy.
Create and manage content for internal communications channels, such as intranet articles, newsletters, emails and presentations.
Measure the effectiveness of communication strategies, problem solve and adjust plans based on feedback and analytics.
Travel required: 10-25%
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
Requires deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple related departments.
Qualifications We Prefer
A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 8–10 years’ experience.
Experience in the development and execution of employee communication strategies with measurable outcomes that directly contribute to business goals.
Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
Proven experience in executive and employee communications, preferably in a corporate environment.
Excellent writing and editing skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex ideas and concepts into clear, concise messaging.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to seek continuous improvement through metrics, feedback collection and evaluation/analytics.
