Position Overview
SMR Architects is a 34‑person architectural firm focused on affordable housing, renovation & historic preservation, sustainable design, mixed‑use & transit‑oriented development. The firm is seeking a Design Staff 1 / Architect 1 to join its practice in Pioneer Square, Seattle.

Architectural degree and 4 years’ post‑graduate experience.
Experience with preliminary design through post‑construction, construction drawing production, and understanding of building, accessibility and energy codes.
Renovation and rehabilitation background, multi‑family housing and historic preservation projects.
Proficiency in Revit is encouraged; benefits include Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite and Enscape.
Strong communication skills, independent problem solving and ability to seek guidance.
Technology guidance and supervisory approval from principals or project managers.
