Audio/Visual Manager

ONSITE 5 days a week on border of Illinois and Wisconsin

Great opportunity for a hands‑on AV Manager to oversee, run, and manage a variety of live and virtual, corporate‑based events. In this well‑rounded role you will maintain your hands‑on skills, while overseeing an AV team and managing business needs/requirements for meetings and events.

Responsibilities

  • Broad, hands‑on experience with live event AV integration and multiple years of pre‑production/execution experience.
  • Help maintain a successful video, meetings and event production business.
  • Act as the resident SME for all aspects of meeting, event and video production. Consult daily with Account Managers, Project Managers, the Resource Center, and suppliers to scope RFP estimates and determine scheduling requirements to ensure events are executed on time and within budget.
  • Supervise and develop the Meeting & Events AV Technicians who are on staff or under contract.
  • Interact with internal personnel at all levels to ensure continuous effective client relations and participate in the development of department goals to better meet client needs and corporate objectives.
  • Effectively manage crisis situations (e.g., production problems on set and locations, during work and off hours, and outside emergencies) and prioritize logistics to accommodate client needs.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and professional interpersonal skills to work with internal clients (including Corporate Officers and Executives), provide accurate and detailed information to all project stakeholders and effectively interact with staff resources and suppliers alike.
  • Ensure all department audio, video and streaming equipment is maintained, facilitate required repairs and coordinate ordering of all department equipment purchases.
  • Report to the Manager, Meetings, Events & Video Production; work largely, but not entirely, unsupervised.
  • Be self‑motivated, willing to assume responsibility and make decisions for the greater good of the company and its customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of AV, with management.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of current digital video production technology, web streaming systems/platforms and production of, and audio/video systems for, live corporate meetings and events.
  • Significant hands‑on experience with pre‑production and onsite execution of live web‑based video streaming events.
  • Management/mentoring experience.
