WMBF is a trusted local media organization in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, serving the Grand Strand and Pee Dee regions of South Carolina and parts of North Carolina. Launched in 2008, WMBF is the local NBC affiliate and produces more than 40 hours of live local original content every week. WMBF is also an affiliate of Bounce, Telemundo, and Palmetto Sports & Entertainment.

WMBF News in Myrtle Beach is searching for a motivated and dynamic producer to join our award‑winning news team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce a newscast, including news writing, story selection, showcasing, and editing.
• Be available for severe weather coverage.
• Use both newscast writing and AP style.
• Contribute story ideas during daily editorial meetings.
• Perform additional newsroom tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• A college degree in journalism, mass communication, or a related field.
• At least one year of news‑producing experience.
• Team‑oriented with ability to reflect on own work and respond to feedback.
• Ability to work long hours, weekends, holidays, and overnights for breaking news and specialized coverage.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Flexible with day‑to‑day roles.
• Experience with ENPS and non‑linear editing software (EDIUS) – a plus.
