About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Chief Communications Officer to lead our communications efforts. In this key role, you will shape and elevate our organization's voice across diverse platforms, transforming strategic objectives into impactful narratives for our varied stakeholders. You will develop high-impact communication materials, oversee daily operations, and ensure that our brand remains consistent and strong.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring leader who mentors our communications team, manages relationships with external partners, and evaluates the effectiveness of our campaigns. Your exceptional writing and editing skills will be essential as you simplify complex issues into clear and compelling content. A strong background in media relations is crucial, alongside a collaborative management style that balances strategic input with hands-on execution.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possess 8-12 years of experience in communications, ideally within mission-driven nonprofits, trade associations, or similar sectors. A deep understanding of the clean energy landscape—encompassing finance, trade, as well as legislative and regulatory matters—is required. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Vice President to implement our communication strategy and will play a vital role in enhancing our visibility and reputation as a premier clean energy think tank.
