What you'll do:

1. Teach Art and / or Digital Design Classes: Teach weekly art and / or digital art classes and summer camps for a variety of ages and media
2. Ensure Student Success: Ensure student success in the studio and lab by actively engaging with students, document and communicate their progress and opportunities for growth
3. Implement One River Methodology Curriculum: Effectively deliver our proprietary and innovative curriculum in a fun and engaging way
4. Run a best-in-class studio: Organize and run classes in a manner that is inclusive for all students, including students with learning differences. Manage and mentor teaching assistants
5. Student Outcomes: Ensure that all students complete their projects on time and to the best of their abilities. Take pictures of student work and complete student progress cards to be shared with parents

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Visual Art, Art Education or Design (Master's a plus) or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years experience teaching visual arts and digital art for K-12 students. Experience teaching adults is a plus
• Track record of high-quality instruction, classroom management, and student progress.
• Clear communicator, organized, and energized by a busy studio environment
• Passion for contemporary art and a "students-first" mindset

Schedule & Compensation:

• This is a part time position, with weekday evening and weekend hours
• Pay: $25-$35 per hour
