POSITION SUMMARY The Associate Manager, Email & SMS Marketing plays a key role in supporting digital customer engagement strategies through the planning, execution, and optimization of email and SMS marketing initiatives. This position requires strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, along with the ability to exercise independent judgment in developing and enhancing digital marketing campaigns. The associate works cross-functionally and contributes to strategic efforts that support brand and revenue goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, manage, and maintain the email and SMS marketing calendar aligned with brand priorities, merchandising strategies, and business goals.
Independently plan and execute email and SMS marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader brand and digital marketing objectives.
Develop robust A / B testing plans to optimize key performance indicators such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and revenue.
Partner with the creative team by submitting briefs, providing feedback, and ensuring creative assets support campaign strategy.
Build and continuously refine automated lifecycle journeys (e.g., welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, re-engagement) to support customer retention and lifetime value.
Use CRM platforms to segment audiences and personalize campaign content based on customer behavior and preferences.
Conduct post-campaign analysis, generate performance reports, and identify actionable insights and areas for improvement.
Monitor competitive and industry trends to inform email and SMS marketing strategy.
Leverage analytics platforms such as Omniture or Adobe Analytics to assess performance of campaigns and related website metrics.
Collaborate with third-party vendors and agencies to ensure timely and accurate campaign execution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or related field
2–3 years of professional experience in digital marketing, with a focus on email and / or SMS campaigns
Experience with enterprise-level ESPs (e.g., Epsilon Harmony, Oracle / Responsys, Adobe Campaign)
Strong understanding of email marketing strategy, testing methodologies, personalization, and compliance (e.g., CAN-SPAM)
Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with web analytics platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, think strategically, and solve problems creatively
Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
