About the Role

Hunter Scouts is seeking an entry‑level Digital Content Specialist to join a large, global consumer brand based in the Grand Rapids area for a 12‑month, on‑site W2 contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, proactive communicator who wants hands‑on experience creating platform‑native social content, managing day‑to‑day community engagement, and helping grow engaged audiences across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X (Twitter) and web channels. You will work closely with Digital Content Leads, Creative, Brand Management and Technology teams and support business owners in leveraging content to build awareness and attract customers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and maintain an editorial calendar aligned to brand goals and KPIs
  • Create platform‑native social content and write short‑form copy (including Instagram Stories)
  • Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X/Twitter and support web publishing
  • Monitor and manage community interactions: respond to comments, questions and direct messages on brand channels
  • Track, tag and report on content performance; surface insights and trends to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Digital Content, Creative, Brand Management, Technology) to support campaigns and field partners

Requirements

  • Must be based within a 50‑mile radius of Grand Rapids, Michigan and able to work on‑site
  • 0–1 years experience in digital content creation, content management, or social media management (internships accepted)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship and available to be engaged on W2 (no C2C)
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Media, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating social content creation and community management

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with social media management/scheduling tools and platform best practices (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X)
  • Familiarity with social analytics, tagging (UTMs) and reporting on content performance
  • Basic photo/video editing skills or experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva
  • Experience publishing content to web/CMS and compiling KPI reports
  • Understanding of emerging social platforms and content trends; curious and eager to learn
