S&Co is seeking a PR Media Specialist who is sharp, strategic, tenacious, and deeply tapped into today’s media landscape. This person must have strong relationships across broadcast, print, digital, and podcasts, and experience securing high-impact coverage across a range of verticals, including health & wellness, lifestyle, beauty, hospitality, food & beverage, and business.
The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller and strategic thinker who knows how to craft compelling angles, identify timely opportunities, and deliver meaningful visibility for brands, experts, founders, and consumer products. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment and serve as the central media relations engine of our dynamic agency, driving features, product spotlights, interviews, op-eds, and thought leadership. Candidates must bring proven results, a strong media network, and an authentic passion for philosophy-driven brands in the health, wellness, and active living space.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the media relations lead, responsible for securing meaningful press across top-tier and relevant outlets (broadcast, print, digital, podcasts)
- Develop creative angles, pitch strategies, and media narratives that break through the noise and position clients as leaders in their categories
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and podcast hosts across multiple verticals
- Draft pitches, press releases, op-eds, and media materials that reflect sharp thinking and compelling storytelling
- Proactively identify timely news hooks, trends, seasonal opportunities, and cultural conversations to drive consistent coverage
- Secure features, expert commentary, profiles, op-eds, product placements, gift guide inclusions, and interviews
- Work closely with account leads to develop and execute media strategies that support and leverage client campaigns
- Lead media outreach for launches, product mailers, events, desksides, media days, and brand activations
- Help shape media lists, outreach calendars, and reporting documents
- Collaborate internally to develop smart, unexpected ideas that strengthen visibility and impact
- Manage and mentor junior team members to guide and support their growth
- Serve as a trusted partner to clients—confident, prepared, and clear on media strategy and expectations

Experience
- 5-7+ years of PR experience (agency) with a strong focus on media relations
- Demonstrated ability to secure top-tier results across platforms and categories
- Strong existing media relationships across at least three+ of these verticals: health & wellness, lifestyle, beauty, hospitality, business, food & beverage
