What we are looking for

A social-first Video Editor & Storyteller based in Los Angeles who lives and breathes TikTok, Reels, and YouTube, and can turn raw footage into thumb-stopping, high-performing video content. You’re excited to work directly with Dr. Shah and the Head of Marketing, refine details in the edit, and help build a best-in-class, education-driven skincare brand through video.

What you’ll own

Content Editing & Production

  • Film and edit short-form content (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts).
  • Turn raw footage into polished, high-performing videos for paid and organic channels.
  • Cut and adapt videos for different aspect ratios, platforms, and placements (organic + paid).
  • Build clear, punchy narrative flow using hooks, jump cuts, b-roll, text overlays, music, and sound design.
  • Edit a range of content including:
  • Dr. Shah educational content
  • Product explainers & “say what they do” storylines
  • Before/after, testimonial, and UGC-style content
  • Paid performance creatives (A/B variations, hooks, end cards)

Collaboration & Creative Development

  • Work closely with Dr. Shah to bring his scripts, education, and expertise to life on video.
  • Partner with the Head of Marketing to translate creative briefs and performance learnings into new edits.
  • Collaborate with the broader team (design, social, influencer) to keep content on-brand and consistent.
  • Lead brainstorms for new video concepts, hooks, and visual approaches.

Technical & Workflow

  • Ingest, organize, and maintain footage, project files, and exports in a clean, repeatable system.
  • Deliver multiple versions of edits for testing (different hooks, cuts, captions, CTAs, etc.).
  • Ensure all assets are exported in correct specs, formats, and quality for each platform.
  • Stay up-to-date on editing trends, TikTok/IG formats, and best practices for thumb-stopping creative.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have

  • Based in Los Angeles, CA, with ability to work in-person regularly.
  • 1–2 years of experience in video editing (internships, freelance, or personal portfolio all count).
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (Final Cut Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience editing for TikTok, Reels, and other social platforms.
  • Comfort working with:
  • Short-form, vertical video
  • Basic color correction and sound cleanup
  • On-screen text, simple motion/graphics, and subtitles
  • A strong portfolio or reel that shows:
  • Social-first content
  • Good pacing and storytelling
  • Clean, modern visual style
  • Ability to take feedback and iterate quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and organization in file management.
  • Interest in skincare, wellness, or consumer brands is a plus (but not required!).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience cutting performance/paid ads for Meta, TikTok, or YouTube.
  • Familiarity with CapCut or native TikTok editing tools.
  • Basic graphic design skills (Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, or Figma).
  • Experience on set (helping with shot lists, pulling selects, logging footage).

Salary and Benefits

  • $50-$85k Base Salary
