The Opportunity
CACI is seeking a Technical Writer responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents for software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. The role involves writing and editing technical documentation for hardware and software, including installation, configuration, how-to guides, code documentation, implementation guides, end‑user guides, field, data definition, and data flow documentation. The writer formats technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel.
Responsibilities
- Document process improvement and engineering methodologies and principles to conduct modernization projects.
- Assist teams with managing team websites and knowledge sharing.
- Develop business methods, identify best practices, and create and assess performance documents.
- Serve as coordinator between multiple scrum teams to support presentations and demonstrations.
- Document and track requirements and assist in driving them to completion.
- Take notes during Sprint reviews.
- Track action items.
- Attend meetings.
Qualifications
- Document initiatives for process improvements.
- Ensure style guides are followed in compliance with customer and company standards.
- Work with customers and developers to document new and existing business processes.
- Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes, and risks.
- Develop and maintain best practices to meet changing business needs.
- Understand REST.
- Understand software development.
- Read and understand SWAGGER documentation.
- Interpret JSON to interpret data modules for end users.
- Interpret release notes.
Education
- 8 years of experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- A master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience, reducing the requirement to 6 years of experience. Four years of additional TW experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Pay Range
The proposed salary range for this position is: $84,900 - $178,400
