Our Client, utomotive company, is looking for a eLearning Developer & LMS Content Specialist for their Portland, OR/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities: The Learning & Development team at Client are seeking a highly skilled eLearning Developer & LMS Content Specialist to design and build modern, engaging, and fully SCORM-compliant digital learning experiences. This role requires deep expertise in Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and multimedia development, as well as hands-on experience publishing and managing content inside Workday Learning. The ideal candidate blends instructional design best practices, strong visual and technical skills, and the ability to translate business needs into impactful learning solutions for a large corporate environment. eLearning Design & Development

Design, script, and develop custom eLearning using Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, and Review 360. Create interactive modules, branching scenarios, assessments, software simulations, and microlearning assets. Translate SME content, process documentation, and business objectives into high-quality instructional materials. Build visually polished, brand-aligned content, leveraging strong graphic design principles. Apply adult learning theory, scenario-based learning, and performance-focused instructional approaches. Workday LMS Publishing & Integration:

Publish SCORM 1.2/2004 and xAPI packages optimized for Workday Learning. Configure learning items, modules, quizzes, and learning paths within Workday. Troubleshoot LMS issues related to tracking, bookmarking, scoring, and course completion rules. Support versioning, updates, and ongoing course maintenance. Multimedia Production:

Record, edit, and optimize audio narration using Adobe Audition or similar tools. Produce high-quality screen recordings and training videos using Camtasia or ScreenFlow. Manipulate graphics, icons, illustrations, and visual assets using Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Canva Pro. Create short animated explainers with Vyond, Powtoon, or comparable animation tools. Accessibility, UX, & Quality Assurance:

Ensure all modules meet WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards (alt text, focus order, color contrast, captions, transcripts, keyboard navigation). Conduct rigorous QA testing across browsers and devices for functionality and responsiveness. Optimize user experience using sound UX/UI principles for adult learning. Collaboration & Project Management

Work closely with HR, L&D leadership, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to align content to business needs. Participate in Agile-style review cycles, incorporating feedback rapidly. Utilize tools like Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Miro, Lucidchart, Asana, or Monday.com for project coordination. Maintain clean file organization, version control, and documentation Weekly standing meetings Meeting on relevant deliverables Working with stakeholders 20% meetings 10-15% 1x1 calls Remaining will be focused on content creation

Requirements:

2 years of E learning development experience 2 years working within an LMS 2-3 years working with technical teams Degree can be supplemented by 3-5 years of relevant experience 4 years degree in a relevant subject preferred If degree: 1-2 years If no degree: 3-5 years Instructional design certification CPTD E learning or similar Workday LMS experience is a plus Working on a dynamic team Experience with mid-sized organization Experience with intranet/engage Exposure/Practice with AI tools for content creation The ideal candidate blends instructional design best practices, strong visual and technical skills, and the ability to translate business needs into impactful learning solutions for a large corporate environment.
