- Provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Document and report any unusual observations or incidents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain authorized entry to restricted areas.
- Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and/or coordinating with local authorities.
- Maintain a professional presence and represent Allied Universal in a positive manner at all times while on duty.
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
