Responsibilities

Have strong general engineering knowledge of either the telecommunication (Horizontal/Backbone cabling and pathways) or electronic security systems (communications, electronic controls, CCTV, access control, UPS, etc.) and operational coordination with commercial hardware.

Meet with project clients to evaluate, define and review customer needs/objectives and insure those requirements are met within the project design.

Define and develop complete project related construction documents to include all design documents (SD, DD, CD) to show design intent, project specifications and assist with system related activities within all construction administration (CA) activities.

Coordinate with integrated, multidisciplinary project teams to develop functional requirements, system designs, and other project related requirements.

Develop alternative system design concepts, feasibility and trade‑off studies and value‑added engineering when required for projects.

Maintain knowledge of current industry product offerings and research new emerging technologies.

Provide Construction Administration Services such as reviewing submittals and responding to contractor questions.

Assist in problem resolution and technical troubleshooting when field support is needed.

Eligibility Requirements Due to client contract requirements, US-born citizenship is required.

Preference given to local candidates.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience.

5 years of related work experience.

Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks independently, on schedule, and under budget.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

Ability to work in a high‑velocity environment managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.

Strong computer skills and proficiency in Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn new applications quickly.

Knowledge of engineering drawing and design standards and practices.

Strong desire for continuous learning and professional education.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Required Qualifications

Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience

Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure

Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools

Experience with 3D Coordination tools

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential

Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
