Job Description ProSidian seeks a Court Reporter in Big Springs, VA (VISN‑17) at the George H. O’Brien, Jr. VA Medical Center. This full‑time, contract contingent position supports an engagement for a federal Cabinet‑level agency that provides healthcare services to eligible military veterans nationwide. The role involves providing accurate, timely, appropriately bound and indexed transcribed testimony from witnesses at VA medical and outpatient facilities.

Provide court reporting services to the Western States Network Consortium, supporting the Assist program and project management in a functional area.

Use required equipment to produce accurate transcriptions and maintain professional demeanor at all proceedings.

Read transcripts, clarify inaudible statements, and administer oaths. Depositions shall be transcribed by a duly authorized notary.

Accommodate turn‑around requests and ensure work products meet established criteria and milestones.

Act in accordance with the highest ethical and business standards.

Qualifications • Must have a high‑school diploma or equivalency and a minimum of one year of court‑reporting experience. • Certified as a National Court Reports Association Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) or equivalent. • Proficient in English, capable of reading and clarifying transcripts, and experienced with AIB, Equal Opportunity Hearing, MSPB or arbitration hearings. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related technology. • Willingness to submit to background investigative requirements and meet U.S. citizenship and security clearance requirements.

Physical ability to bend, pull, push, lift up to 20 lbs, reach, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.

Travel occasionally for meetings, events, site visits, and training as required.

Work location: proximity to George H. O’Brien, Jr. VA Medical Center.
