Senior Transmission Line Designer 1 - Grid
Hybrid/flexible schedule with onsite work at Sargent & Lundi’s office.
Responsibilities
Develop transmission line plans, profile drawings, and hardware details.
Create master sketches of proposed installations to existing facilities.
Apply AutoCAD, 3D design software (AutoCAD 3D, MicroStation) for drafting.
Prepare material lists and grounding details.
Assist in client walkdowns and gather design info.
Communicate with vendors and contractors to adjust drawings.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in drafting or high school diploma with drafting coursework, or equivalent technical experience.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
10+ years of experience designing/drafting transmission lines.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.
Ability to visualize parts in 3D without a computer.
Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
Attention to detail and multitasking.

Valued But Not Required Skills
Experience with Microstation, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or GIS software.
