Job Summary Murphy Oil Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Associate Marketing Contract Administration Analyst to join our Marketing team. This role is pivotal in managing Marketing documentation, contracts, and electronic records, and ensuring contract management processes adhere to corporate policies and standards. This person will work closely with every member of the Marketing team and be a critical point of contact for our internal and external business partners. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, enjoy problem solving, and have the ability to collaborate across departments. The Associate Marketing Contract Administration Analyst will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work up to two (2) days a week remotely, as business needs allow.
Responsibilities
Organize Marketing contracts including oil and gas sales, transportation, processing, and market data service agreements
Draft standard agreements and amendments
Manage customer correspondence and inquiries
Coordinate contract approvals and execution with internal stakeholders and external counterparties
Ensure timely updates of new, amended, and terminated contracts and trades in the appropriate system of record
Maintain audit trails and documentation to support trade compliance and reporting obligations
Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and assist in resolving inquiries
Participate in the design and implementation of system enhancements
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 3 years’ experience working with energy commodity businesses, preferably in contract administration
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word
Knowledge of contract management solutions like SharePoint and DocuSign
The individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs. The successful candidate must be able to complete all essential physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Usage of an energy trading application (ETRM system) such as Allegro
Exposure to enterprise ERP systems like SAP
High level of motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently
