Medical Director (Medical Communications)
Scientific Director
Hybrid 2 days on-site per week
Overview The Medical Director will join a collaborative scientific team responsible for developing high quality scientific content and providing strategic support across a range of therapeutic areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, working across dynamic projects, and partnering closely with internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of scientific content across multiple formats including medical affairs materials, publications, digital assets, and commercial deliverables
Own approximately 70 percent content development and 30 percent scientific strategy
Provide scientific insight and strategic guidance to clients during discussions and presentations
Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal account teams, creative teams, and data science or AI partners
Ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and alignment with client objectives across all deliverables
Contribute to strategic planning and scientific direction for assigned accounts and projects
Support new business efforts through scientific input, pitch preparation, and proposal development
Qualifications
PhD or PharmD preferred. MD considered with relevant context
Approximately 5 years of experience within a medical communications agency environment
Strong scientific writing and content development skills across varied audiences and formats
Broad therapeutic area exposure, including experience or comfort supporting cardiology
Familiarity with medical affairs, publication planning, digital content, and commercial initiatives
Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and client partners
A flexible, proactive, and hands‑on approach with the ability to drive work forward independently
