We’re currently seeking a Product Design Senior Director to lead our Commercial Card Experience team, which is part of the Experience Design organization. The team delivers a suite of software that helps businesses run their operations with confidence. We spend time with financial managers and operators, understand their needs, co‑create with them, and celebrate their success as our success.

Role Expectations As Senior Director of Commercial Card Experience, you’ll lead a talented, cross‑disciplinary team of design leaders and designers, collaborate deeply with research, product, and technology leadership, and advocate for high‑leverage opportunities with executive stakeholders. You’ll orchestrate high‑impact, complex design projects that set the bar for experience excellence and business outcomes.

You will envision, design, deliver, and optimize experiences across channels (web, mobile, human‑to‑human) and emerging technologies (such as agentic AI) to help business teams run with confidence. This will include products and experiences such as:

Onboarding and managing business teams across a suite of business credit card, rewards, and payment solutions.

Managing vendors, payments, getting paid, and spend controls for businesses.

Integrating software to ERPs, accounting systems, and HR systems to deliver reliable data, monitor cash flow, and inform financial decisions.

Managing corporate cards and digital wallets for different types of business users (C‑suite, department heads, project teams, etc.).

– Connect cross‑organization dots and engage executive partners to accelerate delivery and elevate design value.

– Present work to executive leaders and stakeholders, making complex information accessible and influencing strategic direction.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio demonstrating leadership, process, results, and impact.

Basic Qualifications

At least 10 years of experience leading product design teams and delivering products to market.

At least 3 years managing managers.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 12 years of experience leading product design teams and delivering products to market.

Experience with a design toolkit that spans product design, service design, design strategy, and content design.

Deep experience leading product design teams across UX, UI, strategy, content, and research from strategy through delivery to market.

Deep experience partnering with product managers, engineers, marketing, and analytics leaders across multiple business lines.

Deep experience interfacing with executive leadership to solve problems, influence decisions, and drive results across strategy, design, roadmaps, and investments.

Experience working within a design system.

Proficiency with web and mobile technologies and platforms, navigating technology considerations and constraints to drive sound product and experience decisions.

Expertise with design and prototyping tools such as Figma.

Experience managing an interdisciplinary design team.

Proficiency working with technology and platform teams to develop new systems, platforms, and investigate new technologies, tools, and interaction models such as LLMs and agentic AI.

Proficiency in business case development, grounding product and user experience decisions to business value.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship building across complex organizations.

Exceptional people management and development skills.

Compensation McLean, VA: $264,300 – $301,700 for Sr. Director, Design.

New York, NY: $288,400 – $329,100 for Sr. Director, Design.

Other locations will have corresponding pay ranges. The role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation.
