Role As a Performance Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in identifying, testing, and scaling emerging paid media channels that can accelerate Whatnot’s growth. You’ll execute campaign experiments, analyze results, and build frameworks that enable Whatnot to expand beyond established platforms.
You’ll report to the Head of Performance Marketing and collaborate closely with channel leads, creative, data, and finance to validate and grow new sources of efficient demand.
This role is ideal for someone who’s deeply hands‑on, data‑driven, and excited by the challenge of launching new performance programs from scratch.
We’re remote‑first, but this role requires being within commuting distance of one of our office hubs: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City.
Launch and manage emerging digital and offline channels for acquisition.
Build structured testing roadmaps to validate channel fit and measure incremental impact.
Execute full‑funnel tests from creative development, audience segmentation, and bid strategy to drive learnings and performance outcomes.
Help formalize early‑stage channels into repeatable, scalable playbooks for broader adoption.
Own day‑to‑day execution and performance monitoring for early‑stage channels.
Analyze spend efficiency, conversion rates, and LTV metrics to optimize toward CAC, ROAS, and payback goals.
Partner with creative teams to continuously iterate on messaging and formats based on data‑driven feedback loops.
Partner with Data, Finance, Product, and broader Marketing teams to ensure campaigns are accurately tracked, measured, and reported.
Communicate actionable insights to stakeholders and propose next steps for scaling.
Keep abreast of the latest ad tech, attribution methods, and analytics solutions.
Recommend tools and platforms to enhance targeting, measurement, and campaign scalability on a global level.
You
4–6 years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, or digital media.
Hands‑on experience managing paid campaigns across multiple self‑serve ad platforms with significant budget.
Strong command of key metrics and data analysis to drive campaign outcomes.
Experience creating and iterating on world‑class creative that resonates across diverse cultures.
Builder mentality that thrives in ambiguity and knows how to drive end‑to‑end experimentation with measurement rigor.
Comfortable working cross‑functionally with data, finance, engineering, and marketing teams, balancing both strategic and tactical responsibilities.
Compensation $135,000/year to $165,000/year + benefits + equity.
The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (details below) or equity.
