RiverTree Jackson is a vibrant, Jesus-centered church located in Jackson Township in Northeast Ohio. Jackson Township is in Stark County with nearby cities of Massillon, Canton, and North Canton known for its excellent schools and suburban lifestyle. We are looking for a Communications Director who brings strategic leadership, creative skill, and a collaborative spirit to help tell the story of what God is doing in and through RiverTree Jackson. This role is hands‑on, strategic, creative, and relational. You’ll shape how people experience RiverTree Jackson before they ever walk through the doors. This person will shape the voice, visuals, and messaging of our church across platforms from Sunday gatherings to digital channels to local community engagement. If you love leading creative work, developing teams, and building meaningful communication systems that help people connect with Jesus—this role may be for you.

As Communications Director, you will:

Lead the overall communication strategy for RiverTree Jackson across digital, print, video, and in‑person messaging.

Create and manage communication systems that help ministries communicate clearly and consistently.

Oversee our website, social media channels, livestream, sermon media, email campaigns, and visual brand identity.

Partner closely with our Video Director to tell powerful stories of life transformation and mission impact.

Equip and support volunteers and ministry leaders to confidently and creatively communicate what matters.

Actively contribute to Sunday services, planning environments, messaging flow, and promotional campaigns.

Have a growing relationship with Jesus and participate actively in the life of the church.

Demonstrate humility, collaboration, adaptability, and a team‑first mindset.

Be a self‑starter who enjoys turning ideas into execution.

Can manage multiple projects and timelines while maintaining clarity and excellence.

Value storytelling and understand how thoughtful communication can help people connect, grow, and serve.

Preferred Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree a plus) in Communications, Marketing, Media, Ministry, or a related field.

5+ years of communication and/or church or nonprofit leadership experience.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and comfort working across social and digital platforms.
