RGP is seeking a highly skilled Project Accounting Professional Consultant to represent the accounting function in business‑process design sessions for a major retail initiative. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Inventory Accounting within the Brick‑and‑Mortar (B&M) Retail industry, combined with experience in RFID‑enabled inventory processes. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting requirements for operational and financial processes, including SOX compliance.

What you will work on

Act as the Accounting representative in business process design sessions, ensuring financial integrity and compliance.

Provide subject‑matter expertise on inventory accounting for B&M retail operations, including physical inventory counting and RFID‑enabled processes.

Define and validate accounting requirements for inventory movement transactions such as:

Goods receipts and exception management.

Store inventory adjustments and corrections.

Ensure proper design and documentation of financial controls, including SOX compliance.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align operational processes with accounting standards.

Support testing and validation of inventory‑related processes and systems.

What you will bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Strong experience in Inventory Accounting within B&M retail environments.

Hands‑on experience with RFID‑enabled inventory processes.

Deep understanding of operational and financial process controls, including SOX requirements.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to bridge accounting and operational teams.

Compensation commensurate with qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

Pay Range: $85–$90 per hour.
