Reports to Director of Operations Scope:
Oversee the church's communications and technology to ensure all messaging and systems are aligned with the church’s mission and effectively serve the congregation. Job Responsibilities
Communications/Marketing Support/Graphic Design Creation (75%)
Email – oversee all email communications in the life of the church Design and send out weekly communications Design and send emails on behalf of ministries and Elders as requested Manage @freechristian.org email accounts. Help with initial set up of FCC email for new staff. Website – Maintain and update Squarespace for Main Church Site and VBS Site Produce registration pages and forms for events Print – design and produce print materials Help coordinate church mailings, yearly Social Media – create and maintain a social media presence in line with communication strategy Maintain log of photos Interact with those who respond Ensure FCC follows current proper social media etiquette Plan paid posts/marketing Communication Strategy (15%)
Manage overall ministry communications requests Maintain communication strategies across all media platforms to consistently express the ministry of the church with a balance of focus to the congregation (internal) and community (external) Educate staff on communications strategy and processes Coordinate with ministry leaders on communication strategies Evaluate effectiveness of communications IT & Church Office Support (10%)
Order new computers as needed and troubleshoot basic IT problems/printer problems, elevate concerns when necessary Character/Personality Traits
Growing Christian, mature individual with a love for God and people Passionate to collaborate and use communication as a tool for ministry Proven ability to maintain productivity and accuracy during high‑demand periods Proficiencies
Creative and helpful approach to supporting staff and the congregation Able to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines Working knowledge of HTML, knowledge of additional web languages and understanding of User Experience Design Proficient in modern technology suites: Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Express, Premier), Mac OS, Windows OS, Squarespace, Constant Contact and social media platforms Multimedia Content Creation (Preferred)
