Position Overview Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will focus primarily on managing projects for the marketing department. This is a hybrid work from home and in‑office position as required, and will include off‑site events and other remote activities.

Responsibilities

Oversees and manages all marketing projects, from intake to project completion—including creating milestone calendars

Regularly monitors project progress, generates reports and communicates updates to the broader team.

Manages vendor communication, to ensure concise timely feedback and coordination of all projects.

Helps onboard department vendors, platforms and tools.

Submits all project invoices for payment and tracks payment status.

Facilitates weekly marketing planning meetings, to ensure all projects stay on time and budget—proactively identifying any roadblocks to project success.

Utilizes project knowledge to create monthly reports, working with internal stakeholders to obtain relevant information.

Maintains a strong knowledge of Santa Monica businesses and attends community & industry events.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3‑5 years of professional work experience

Experience in an advertising agency account team is a big plus

Highly proficient in Asana, with a strong understanding of project management, including agile methodology—Scrum Master Certification a big plus

Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Mac applications and office computer software including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Reliable, responsible, honest and trustworthy

Ability to take ownership of projects

Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Good organizational skills and ability to multi‑task
