About the Position Pond is seeking a motivated Piping Designer to join our growing Energy team in The Woodlands, TX.
This is an excellent opportunity for a designer to continue building their career while working on a wide variety of Energy projects—including midstream terminal facilities, processing plants, and commercial and military fueling systems.
In this role, you’ll work closely with mechanical and process engineers to develop 3D piping models and detailed construction drawings, helping translate design concepts into high-quality deliverables. You’ll also assist in creating P&IDs, PFDs, and piping specifications, ensuring all work meets project and industry standards.
Success in this role comes from being detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn. You’ll have opportunities to expand your technical knowledge, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow within a team that values innovation and mentorship.
Experience and Qualifications
5+ years of experience in piping design, preferably within the Energy or industrial sectors
Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D, CADWorx, or similar 3D modeling software
Solid understanding of piping layout and design principles
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a positive, solutions-focused mindset
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Desire to learn, adapt, and grow professionally within a dynamic mechanical design team
