Senior Civil CAD Designer Our Orlando, Florida office is looking for a Civil Operator or Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our Land Development team.

Responsibilities

Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards.

Develop technical drawings and plans for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential land development projects and implement AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards.

Create and quality‑check drawings and plans of substantial complexity, performing related calculations where required.

Perform day‑to‑day tasks with minimal supervision.

Apply engineering principles and suggest design changes.

Maintain the drawing database.

Supervise and train CAD staff.

Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control.

Develop familiarity with Kimley‑Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications

8+ years of relevant experience in land development.

Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree preferred).

Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.

Advanced knowledge of Autodesk or Bentley products.

Strong work ethic, good interpersonal communication and writing skills, and a desire to learn.

Ability to work independently and with a team.

Willingness to mentor and teach others.

Detail‑oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self‑starter.
