Location: Victor, New York
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
About the Role APD is searching for a passionate professional yearning for growth and hands‑on experience. Engage directly with clients, project managers and a dedicated site / civil team, playing a pivotal role in drafting construction documents for multi‑site retail markets.
In this position you will manage projects from conception to completion, collaborating with a diverse team across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Heavy AutoCAD usage to prepare site layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, utilities, erosion control design, landscaping and lighting layouts, zoning code reviews, and municipal and agency permitting.
Review and interpret surveys and engineering reports (geotechnical, environmental, wetlands, traffic, etc.) for use in site design.
Work knowledge of NYSDEC stormwater regulations and the motivation and ability to learn similar regulations for other states.
Municipal and agency permitting and attendance at meetings.
Coordinate with utility companies and review design.
Some travel for meetings, site observations, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
BS or pre‑professional degree in civil engineering or civil engineering technology from an ABET‑accredited school.
Proficient with technical software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, truck‑turning, hydrology, etc.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, OneNote, Google Earth, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
EIT
3+ years of experience with site design.
Retail, QSR, or multi‑site project experience.
