Digital Communications Lead
Dynamic and experienced Digital Communications Lead to develop and oversee the execution of internal and external digital communications strategy. The Lead will work closely with senior leadership to shape the digital presence of the organization and ensure that all digital communications initiatives are aligned with our overall brand and business goals. This role demands a blend of creative vision, strategic insight, and strong leadership to drive measurable results across various digital platforms.

Responsibilities
Engage a cross‑functional, global team to recommend and execute plans to update Organon’s corporate digital properties, including the website (organon.com), ensuring they provide external audiences with a complete view of the business and the corporate narrative.
Develop compelling digital content strategies across a variety of platforms (website, social media, email, blogs, digital ads, etc.) ensuring messaging consistency, relevancy, and alignment with brand voice.
Work closely with marketing, digital / omnichannel, medical affairs, and other cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure alignment of digital communications with overall marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Create the digital communications style guide that drives internal and external content and channel strategy and supports the overall OGN brand and culture positioning.
Oversee strategies to drive engagement, increase brand awareness, and grow digital audiences through targeted messaging, optimized campaigns, and data‑driven decisions.
Analyze digital performance data, derive actionable insights, and provide regular reports to senior leadership on the effectiveness of digital strategies and tactics. Use data to continuously optimize strategies and tactics.
Stay current on digital marketing trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to keep the organization’s digital communications strategy ahead of the curve.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of digital communications professionals, providing clear direction, fostering creativity, and ensuring high standards of performance.
Support the organization’s digital response strategies in times of crisis, ensuring that messaging is timely, clear, and aligned with the company’s values and public image.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in health care policy or related fields.
At least 10 years of experience in regional/global public relations, including digital and social media in a regulated environment.
Significant experience leading media, social media, and global communications for large corporations.
Experience with video production (storyboarding, filming, editing) and web/social media content development.
Ability to prepare strategic communications plans and provide strategic advice to cross‑divisional team members, as well as deliver at the tactical level.
Ability to execute within a dynamic, fast‑paced organization.
Ability to articulate and lead a long‑term strategic communications platform that builds and supports businesses.
Ability to handle crisis communications and short‑term communications objectives.
Flexible, clear thinking and problem‑solving skills; successfully lead multiple projects/initiatives within the communications/PR function; able to quickly grasp new ideas; simplify strategy into specific actions with clear accountability; make decisions with speed and accuracy based on the best available information; communicate priorities clearly and concisely.
Clear communication of complex information, delivering key messages effectively both verbally and in writing, with excellent application of the English language.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Experience in the pharmaceutical or health care industry.
US and global market experience.
Agency experience.

Annualized Salary Range (US): $152,300 – $259,200.
