Calibrate
We are working on behalf of a boutique law firm to recruit a Business Development and Marketing Manager in the firm’s Atlanta office. Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, the Business Development and Marketing Manager will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives that enhance client engagement and elevate the firm’s brand across all practice areas. They will also collaborate across departments, lead marketing and business development efforts, and manage one direct report in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development : Partner with firm leadership to drive revenue growth, deepen client relationships, and implement tailored business plans and initiatives across practice groups.
Proposals & Market Intelligence : Oversee the development and tracking of RFPs, proposals, client questionnaires, and competitive intelligence to support targeted business pursuits.
Client Engagement & Events : Plan and execute CLEs, thought-leadership programs, sponsorships, and client-focused events, while managing CRM systems and new lawyer integration.
Marketing & Communications : Design and implement digital campaigns, website content, lawyer bios, award submissions, and public relations efforts to elevate the firm’s brand.
Collaboration & Team Leadership : Support cross-functional collaboration, process improvements, Meritas network initiatives, and coaching for attorneys.
Credentials and Expertise
Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field required.
Experience : A minimum of 6 years of experience in business development or marketing within a law firm or other professional/financial services setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and advanced organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Skilled in creative problem-solving, applying sound judgment and strategic decision-making to deliver results.
