Overview A fast-growing client of ours is seeking a highly experienced
Social Media Creative Director
to lead the strategic and creative direction of all social media initiatives.
THIS IS NOT A SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR ROLE...IT'S A CD ROLE (DESIGN SIDE) FOR A CD THAT HAS HEAVY SOCIAL MEDIA CREATIVE EXPERIENCE.
This role is responsible for shaping the brand’s visual identity across major platforms, driving innovation in
social-first storytelling , and overseeing the execution of high-impact digital content. The position requires both visionary thinking and hands‑on creative leadership, guiding a small internal team and collaborating with cross‑functional partners and external agencies.
The Social Media Creative Director will develop platform‑specific strategies, ensure brand cohesion across channels, analyze performance data, and elevate the organization’s social presence through modern, culturally relevant content.

Social Media Creative Director Requirements
10+ years of experience in social media and digital design with a portfolio demonstrating diverse, high‑quality social executions
Minimum 5 years in creative direction, digital content leadership, or social media creative management roles
Proven success developing branded social content across Meta, TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube, and emerging platforms
Demonstrated ability to produce high‑performing or viral social media content
Expertise in visual design principles and social‑first creative strategies
Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, and related platforms; SEO knowledge is a plus
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design rationale and collaborate across teams
Excellent problem‑solving capabilities and a strategic, forward‑thinking creative approach
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Experience supporting lead‑generation websites and familiarity with Webflow development is a significant advantage
Social Media Creative Director Duties
Lead creative direction for all social media content across major platforms including Meta, TikTok, X/Twitter, YouTube, and others
Develop and execute social‑first campaigns aligned with brand identity, marketing goals, and audience engagement strategies
Manage, mentor, and inspire a creative team of designers, copywriters, and social content creators
Collaborate with Brand, Product, and external social agencies to ensure cohesive and strategic social output
Test, analyze, and optimize creative assets based on KPIs, audience insights, and platform performance data
Oversee multiple creative projects simultaneously, ensuring high quality, timely delivery, and consistent execution
Contribute to the evolution of design systems and style guidelines to maintain a unified visual presence across digital channels
Maintain consistent tone, messaging, and aesthetic across all social touchpoints
Source, manage, and collaborate with influencers, photographers, and external creators to elevate content quality
Stay current on cultural trends, platform algorithms, and evolving design practices to inform innovative creative approaches
Manage content calendars, campaign timelines, and digital asset production workflows to support seamless execution
