About the Role Our Client is seeking a visionary Creative Director, Social Media to lead the strategy, creative direction, and execution of their brand presence across all major social platforms. This role is perfect for a leader who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, pop culture, and digital innovation—and who enjoys being hands‑on in content creation.
You will partner with social strategy, internal creative teams, and external vendors to guide a team of social content producers while driving the development of compelling, thumb‑stopping content that captivates audiences and supports key brand priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, direct, and personally develop creative for innovative social media campaigns that align with brand objectives.
Oversee internal teams and outside vendors to create original content including video, motion graphics, memes, and interactive formats for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and more.
Stay ahead of emerging trends, platform evolutions, and audience behaviors to inform creative concepts and execution.
Performance Optimization
Interpret performance insights and use data to refine creative strategies and improve engagement outcomes.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in creative direction, content creation, and leading social media teams within entertainment or a related industry.
Proven success developing high‑performing social content for large, consumer‑facing brands or entertainment properties.
Deep knowledge of platform‑specific best practices across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, X, Reddit, and emerging platforms.
Strong portfolio showcasing innovative, engaging, and high‑performing social‑first creative.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, iPhone content creation, and native editing tools (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Stories).
Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Experience developing and mentoring creative teams, including conducting performance reviews.
Ability to revise and optimize creative based on stakeholder or leadership feedback.
Proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of Our Client’s brand voice, tone, and visual aesthetic (or ability to quickly learn and adapt to it).
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment while balancing long‑term initiatives with urgent deadlines.
Passion for entertainment, pop culture, and modern storytelling.
Preferred Experience & Additional Attributes
Experience with live event social coverage (red carpets, premieres, fan events).
Knowledge of competitive entertainment social trends and how brands drive viral buzz.
Familiarity with paid media, performance marketing, and social performance metrics.
Comfortable directing talent on set or during social shoots.
Background in motion design, AR filters, or emerging creative technologies.
Understanding of community management and fan engagement strategies.
Strong production efficiency and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Positive, solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to stay diplomatic in unpredictable or high‑pressure situations.
Flexible and versatile—comfortable wearing multiple hats.
