Summary The Telecommunications System Administrator is responsible for installing, supporting and maintaining all telecommunication systems and related infrastructure. The Telecommunications System Administrator will configure, test, and implement all systems related to our Voice and Telecom platforms. The Systems Administrator will work closely with all IT Staff and other cross‑functional partners as it relates to improvements and other telecommunications projects.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in IT or Communications related program or eight year’s related experience.
Minimum three years’ experience working in a telecommunications or related field.
Possession of relevant industry certifications is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and other system issues.
Evaluate existing technology solutions and platforms and provide recommendations for improving technology performance.
Analyze various reports to ensure that the functionality and performance meets all product and service level requirements.
Provide accurate and timely e-ticket support daily and respond quickly to any usability concerns.
Document telecommunications processes and procedures in addition to updating and creating new processes, such as updating existing workflows and building new workflows that help streamline current processes.
Support the planning, coordination and installation of in‑house and remote hardware and software across the organization.
Ensure compliance of documentation with established standards, policies, procedures, and configuration guidelines.
Support vendor relationships as it relates to implementing telecom & VoIP architectures for various business units while maintaining high-available real‑time data.
Make reasonable accommodations for availability during non‑business hours to respond to emergency needs and for scheduled system maintenance.
