Design Automation Specialist – Full-time
Job Summary
Pay:
Starting at $75,000 annually
Location:
Louisville, KY
Hours:
40 hours/week; occasional overtime may be required
Responsibilities
Create, maintain, and organize custom Autodesk Inventor parts and assemblies within Vault for fabrication teams
Lead development of Inventor & Vault processes with automation using iLogic, PowerShell, CoolOrange, etc., including creation of parametric parts and assemblies
Maintain standard design processes for internal and external teams, supporting manufacturing workflows
Implement Inventor & Vault to streamline design‑to‑manufacturing information transfer
Integrate design data into ERP systems for reporting purposes
Participate in cross‑functional team meetings and contribute to design process improvements
Develop knowledge of products and suggest value engineering improvements
Communicate design automation processes to ensure clear understanding across teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, construction, architecture, engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificate in Computer Aided Drafting and Design preferred
Proven experience in designing automation and workflows for parametric assemblies and parts
Understanding of manufacturing/design practices and structural framing requirements
Experience managing software implementation (Inventor or similar) for design/manufacturing workflows
Self‑starter, detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and CAD; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office
Passion for technology and continuous personal/professional growth
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer
