Job Summary:

This position supports the overall administration of the Department of Environment, Development & Health (EDH) in the School of International Service. It reports to the EDH Department Manager and works closely with the Academic Program Coordinator, the Department Chair, Undergraduate Faculty Coordinator, and Director of Graduate Studies (as needed). The primary focus is to support the department’s communications products and events, including archival projects, photography, social media engagement, and content creation for departmental activities.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

Student – Part‑time – Hybrid work modality

4 – 10 hours per week (may vary)

Assistance with in‑person events (approximately 2 times per week)

Salary Range:

$17.95 – $18.50 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma

Excellent organizational skills

Team‑orientated and multicultural work experience

Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word

Strong customer‑service focus

Ability to move event tables/chairs and lift up to 25 pounds

Preferred Education and Experience:

Previous experience in an AU campus office

Experience with Canva

Experience with social media (a plus)
