Job Description
Coordinate and perform ongoing tasks to support the Pod team in developing and executing marketing strategies for a subset of Pod properties.
Job Summary Support the Pod Leader & Director in coordinating the development of monthly loyalty reinvestment strategy and related marketing activities.
Key Job Functions
Support Pod Leader & Director in coordinating the development of monthly loyalty reinvestment strategy for pod properties, including:
Drafting monthly calendars of on-property marketing activities and offer matrices.
Coordinating with marketing analytics to develop revenue builds and update calendars/matrices to meet budget targets.
Tracking inputs and feedback from other marketing functions on calendar plans.
Coordinating with on-site marketing team to track execution of marketing activities and ensuring all execution issues resolved.
Track assigned jobs to ensure that the workflow is progressing and the mail is dropped on time.
Provide coordination and execution support for Pod Leader in managing all other responsibilities including advising properties/GMs on marketing related topics, developing marketing rationale for capital requests, working with marketing capabilities to drive innovation, submitting and managing creative for property advertising, communication and promotional strategies.
Develop and maintain basic relationships with vendors essential to completing the jobs both internal and external, including managing contracts with 3rd party vendors.
Hire, coach, develop and mentor Specialists and Coordinators to ensure best practices are incorporated within the Pod.
Be the expert for specialist tasks, including:
In collaboration with properties, create and develop rules and regulations for Events and Promotions and work with property partners to ensure accurate details and submission to regulatory bodies.
Create and develop Event Announcements/Fact Sheets for all Events and Promotions and work with property partners and Pod leadership to ensure accuracy and setup.
Lead job starter calls and weekly touch base calls with properties and other stakeholder departments.
Manage communication messaging, including:
Drafting value proposition and compelling copy and providing critical feedback on collateral.
Developing core layouts.
Creating direct mail bundling plans and maintaining media grids.
Overseeing review and proofing of direct mail and email jobs to ensure accuracy and content is correct prior to deployment.
Work on cross-market projects and actively seek opportunities to contribute across markets.
Make improvements to templates/processes and create new tools and processes in support of business needs.
Understand business acumen necessary to troubleshoot and solve problems with moderate guidance from supervisor.
Carry a great influence over the guest experience and the product presented.
Success identified by ability to develop a team that can create and execute jobs for designated properties with ease of execution.
Successful candidates are vocal with ideas, not afraid to present challenges, good bridge builder, provide vision and create advocates.
Work in tandem with property partners, Direct Mail (DM) and Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) analytics.
Work with peers within and across Pod teams for collaboration and best practice sharing.
All other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Three years previous Marketing experience within the Casino industry.
Direct Marketing or Special Events experience and basic understanding of Marketing and Finance and drivers of performance.
Must be able to organize and maintain a wide variety of activities in a multi-tasking fast paced format.
Computer literate with software systems including IBM, Windows, Excel, Publisher, Experience One (E1), Adobe and Ariba.
Must be able to analyze customer tracking, reinvestment, proforma, postforma and expense sheets.
Minimum 21 years of age.
Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal, communication, team building and problem solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to make sound decisions.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize activities.
Must possess a friendly attitude and enjoy interacting with internal and external customers.
