Position Summary The

Marketing Director

will own the company’s marketing strategy, product positioning, and brand execution across industrial and hazardous markets. This leader must understand the unique demands of hazardous-location lighting—certifications, compliance, durability, and performance—and translate these into compelling, channel‑friendly marketing materials. The successful candidate will manage a marketing team and work cross‑functionally with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Regulatory teams to support product launches, channel programs, and market expansion.

Base pay range $110,000.00/yr – $150,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities Strategic Marketing & Market Development

Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy.

Identify growth opportunities across targeted industries, end users, channel partners, EPC’s, engineering firms, and contractors.

Drive brand differentiation by highlighting engineering, specifications, quality, certifications, durability, and application expertise.

Product & Technical Marketing

Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Product Management to understand technical specifications, testing standards, certification requirements, and use cases.

Produce detailed product collateral including spec sheets, cut sheets, application guides, hazardous compliance material, and launch packages.

Promote competitive analysis focusing on industrial and hazardous lighting competitors, pricing ranges, and feature sets through sales enablement tools.

Build, support, and track marketing programs tailored for rep agencies, distributor networks, and channel partners.

Create distributor toolkits, training materials, co‑branded content, and sales enablement resources.

Strengthen agent engagement through campaigns, newsletters, webinars, and launch communications.

Support channel sales with product training, line‑card updates, and co‑branded marketing materials.

Manage the company website, ensuring accurate technical information, compliance documentation, and application‑specific resources.

Lead SEO/SEM strategies targeting industrial/hazardous lighting terms.

Oversee digital campaigns, email marketing, social media presence, and marketing automation.

Implement lead tracking and analytics through CRM and reporting dashboards.

Brand, Events & Communications

Maintain brand consistency across all materials, ensuring a high level of technical credibility and professionalism.

Oversee trade show strategy (e.g., IEEE, Petroleum, Industrial Safety, Electrical Distributor expos) and industry events.

Manage PR, case studies, video content, and industry thought leadership with a focus on safety, compliance, and application expertise.

Team & Budget Management

Lead and develop a marketing team capable of executing multi‑channel strategies.

Establish annual marketing budgets, KPIs, reporting, and ROI tracking.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in B2B or industrial manufacturing marketing; lighting/electrical experience strongly preferred.

Understanding of hazardous‑location requirements (Class/Division/Zone ratings) or experience marketing regulated/industrial products.

Experience working with agency networks, distributors, or channel‑driven sales models.

Strong technical communication skills.

Proficiency with digital marketing tools, CRM systems, analytics, and content creation.

Preferred

Experience in LED lighting, electrical components, industrial equipment, or safety products.

Experience managing hybrid marketing and product marketing teams.
