Job Description

The Sales and Marketing Associate position is part of an interdisciplinary marketing, consultant relations, distribution, and client service team and plays an important role in supporting the relationship management and business development activities of the firm. This role requires the ability to understand general investment product-related concepts and convey key themes effectively. A commitment to a high level of client service, willingness and ability to promote LIM's capabilities, and strong writing/editing skills are essential for success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities

Proactively reach out to allocators and consultants to promote LIM strategies

Handle routine client meeting requests, general client/consultant requests, and ad hoc inquiries

Research, develop, and manage marketing campaigns for prospective new business

Write and edit investment updates and monthly/quarterly newsletters in conjunction with the investment team for external distribution

Contribute to strategic planning and special projects by gathering information on market segments, competitors, and consultants as part of distribution planning and execution

Monitor competitive landscape regarding strategies and industry trends; evaluate LIM's strategies versus the competitive universe on a quarterly basis

Participate in industry conferences and events to promote the firm and build relationships within target markets and the consultant community

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree is required

3-5 years of experience in investment management with knowledge of fixed income and equity

Experience with new business development, consultant relations, and/or client service preferred

Experience with or interest in ESG and custom solutions is preferred

Strong writing and editing skills and ability to prepare external communications, presentations, and other meeting materials

A strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize competing requests and projects, and see projects through to completion

Hands‑on PC proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Salesforce, eVestment, and other industry systems is a plus

Salary $85,000 to $110,000 Annually
