The Guitar Center Company invites applicants to join us as a Music Teacher at Store 219.

Pay Rate: $16.50/hr – $19.90/hr Non‑Teaching Rate and up to $26.55/hr Total Teaching Rate depending on background and experience.

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count ensuring each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music all while nurturing our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
  • Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
  • Assist with customer service as needed, helping build and maintain long‑term students by creating a great experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Student & Parent Partnership

  • Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and embracing the knowledge parents have as their child's Music Teacher.
  • Communicate with students and/or parents regarding progress of each student.
  • Share students' and/or parents' goals and progress frequently.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Music, Education, or related field.
  • Ability to teach an instrument you are proficient in such as Drums, Guitar, Keyboard, etc.
  • Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area you will be teaching.
