Afinitas is a part of BW Forsyth Partners, LLC, the investment arm of Barry-Wehmiller, a $3 billion organization with nearly 12,000 team members united by a common belief: to use the power of business to build a better world.**Job Description:****Summary**This Engineering and Quality Group position executes procedures as they relate to development, control and distribution of shop drawings.**Responsibilities**• Work with Project Engineer, develop 3D models of designed products and 2D shop drawings for submittal to customer.• Utilize CAD software tools for 3D modeling and 2D detailing to create high quality and error free project specific product details for production purposes and customer use in the field.• Meet drawing submittal deadlines as determined by company.• High attention to detail when developing 2D Shop Drawings.• Electronic verification of product performance characteristics.• Produce a bill of materials with valid ASTM references for procurement purposes.• Communicate and interact with internal departments regarding design, fabrication, quality, costs and material availability.• QC review of shop drawings completed by others.• Intuitive interpretation of contract plans and specifications.• Interpreting the design deliverable from the engineer and designing within those constraints.• Create drawings for special projects (e.g. special equipment, facility renovation, etc).• Other duties as necessary.**Qualifications**Work Experience ……………………… 0 – 2 years in a design detailing role. \*Education & Training ……………….. AAS in a solid modeling or detailing discipline.\*\* Or equivalent as determined by RJW Management.**Skills and Knowledge Areas**Required …………………………………..
