Description We are seeking a UX Researcher to join a growing User Experience Design team. This role focuses on understanding and improving the user experience for internal tools and processes. You will apply user-centered design principles to address complex challenges and help deliver world‑class experiences for employees.

As part of a collaborative team, you will work closely with researchers, designers, developers, engineers, and product managers throughout the design process. You will develop a deep understanding of user journeys and touchpoints, design and run research activities, and advocate for users by providing actionable insights that shape products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Define, plan, and execute iterative user research activities using a variety of methods, including:

Generative research (e.g., interviews, field studies, ethnography)

Evaluative research (e.g., usability studies, concept evaluations, heuristic evaluations)

Validation research

Discover and analyze user behaviors and motivations to inform concepts and solutions.

Conduct analysis of feedback and data to create clear, actionable deliverables for stakeholders.

Use storytelling and ideation techniques to communicate user insights and influence priorities.

Advocate for research as part of the design process and educate others on UX methodologies.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to propose and deliver optimal user experiences.

3‑6 years of UX research experience in an enterprise environment

Experience with internal tools (e.g., dashboards, HR systems, finance tools)

Mixed-method research experience (interviews, surveys, journey mapping, workshops)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in UX Research, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, HCI, or related fields

3+ years of proven success conducting user research in an industry setting

Portfolio demonstrating UX research deliverables and impact

Working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

Experience with:

Survey software (e.g., Qualtrics)

Research platforms (e.g., UserZoom)

Data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R)

Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

Experience in SaaS or enterprise tools

Skilled in facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions

Research experience in global/non‑US markets

Work Environment

Hybrid schedule (e.g., 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Collaborative, cross‑functional team setting

Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Morrisville, NC.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 – $57.00 per hour.
