Role Summary The VP of Marketing, Outdoor Power Equipment, will lead the strategic development and execution of growth initiatives that drive volume growth, SYF penetration, and profitability within the OPE and Lawn and Garden industry within Synchrony Outdoors. This critical leadership role partners closely with OPE clients and sales leaders to develop marketing strategies to drive profitable growth.

Essential Responsibilities

Build and cultivate strategic relationships with OPE partners to understand their business goals and develop marketing strategies that align with mutual program objectives.

Partner with business and client teams to lead, develop, implement, and monitor dynamic multi-channel annual marketing plans.

Deliver marketing programs and strategies through a cross‑functional matrixed organizational structure via multiple channels – OEM client partners, dealers, consumers.

Develop strategic vision for the OPE industry and partner‑specific and industry‑specific marketing strategies across the entire product suite from secured installment to revolving financing solutions.

Manage all aspects of value proposition development, including tracking industry trends, competitive developments and customer experience metrics. Ensure program profitability and penetration through continued enhancements.

Monitor & manage key portfolio performance metrics for the OPE industry and clients such as sales volume, new accounts, repeat purchase, financing penetration, etc. Analyze results to refine and optimize marketing strategies for improved effectiveness.

Lead marketing planning and execution across the entire customer lifecycle from acquisition to retention to maximize customer lifetime value.

Prioritize and manage marketing spend with rigorous ROI analysis, ensuring efficient use of marketing funds to grow the Outdoor Power Equipment segment profitably.

Take ownership of special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior leadership.

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma/GED with 10+ years relevant marketing experience).

Minimum 8 years marketing experience, preferably including financial services or consumer credit marketing.

Minimum 3 years of client management experience.

Outstanding communication, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.

Strong financial acumen.

Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint.

Ability and willingness to travel frequently to client sites and trade events.

Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.

Desired Characteristics

MBA or advanced marketing/business degree preferred.

Experience marketing outdoor power equipment, powersports, lawn & garden, or similar specialty/lifestyle product categories.

Background in financial services, credit card, or promotional financing marketing.

Proficiency in web analytics, attribution, and digital media optimization.

Strong influencing skills across diverse organizational levels and client relationships.

Exceptional analytical capabilities in segmentation, targeting, and ROI‑driven decision making.

Deep understanding of marketing tools, program measurement, and performance metrics (incremental sales, campaign profitability, break‑even analysis).

Proven track record of delivering business results by executing strategic plans.

Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Excellent presentation and communication skills suitable for C‑suite and client engagements.

Skilled in developing compelling presentations and delivering clear, persuasive communication to engage leadership, partners and stakeholders and drive informed decision‑making.

Salary and Benefits The salary range for this position is

110,000.00 – 185,000.00

USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Salary is adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements

You must be 18 years or older.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process.

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
