About the Role
Maintain and execute Robolink’s existing social strategy
Continue and increase community engagement
Monitor and report on social media growth
Experiment with new social tactics, content, and channels
You’ll also get a desk‑friendly drone to play with and program!
You will report to educator‑turned‑Community Manager (and ‘unofficial hype girl of all the things’) Frankie Baker – along with our highly engaged community of teachers and education leaders. If based in San Diego, you will also get to work alongside our talented Media Producer and shoot in our in‑office studio. When it comes to experiments, we’ll all recognize that the “big misses” are just as valuable as the “big wins” for helping us learn, grow, and build the biggest drone brand in EdTech.
Compensation (Hourly) — Location‑Based Pay Tiers
$25–$30 per hour (Tier 1)
$20–$26 per hour (Tier 2)
$18–$22 per hour (Tier 3 – Distributed / Rural Areas)

Key Responsibilities
Create compelling content that highlights Robolink’s CoDrone EDU, emphasizing its unique educational and technological features, including short‑form video, GIFs, and imagery. Collaborate on content ideas between teams, then plan, produce, edit, and publish across channels.
Distribute content on Robolink’s core social channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X).
For the Robolink YouTube channel, distribute YouTube shorts, respond to comments, and create thumbnails.
Engage with the community on YouTube as well as other pages for stronger brand‑to‑brand connections.
Actively engage with Robolink’s social media followers to foster community, support customer success, and amplify brand presence.
Prepare Monthly Social Media Reports (follower counts, top engaged posts, etc.).

You’re detail oriented and committed to building on a brand’s look/feel by adapting to the trends and happenings on different social channels.

– You believe great ideas are worth executing right away, even if that means having some candid conversations with the team to push new priorities through.

– You’re excited about a company and mission you can be proud of, where students get access to skills to help their futures take flight.
Requirements
~1 year of experience in social media, content creation, and/or community (Note: this does not need to be your primary work, e.g. if you work in education but are active on social, you could be a perfect fit for this role!).
Portfolio of content that shows you can think outside the box (professional or personal)
Excellent design skills (especially with Canva, Figma).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice‑to‑Haves
Current or former educator.
Comfortable with being and speaking on screen.
Based in San Diego, CA (where we have a full studio for shooting social content).
If not in San Diego, you have access to video, audio, and lighting gear.
Proficiency with Buffer, Sprout Social and/or related martech platforms.
Some experience editing on a desktop or laptop in addition to mobile editing (with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or Capcut).
