Job Description
KSTS Telemundo 48 is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and skilled multiplatform content producer to join our award-winning team. The candidate will be responsible for creating content for our broadcast and digital platforms in Spanish. In this role, the multiplatform content producer will develop original content focusing on news in the Bay Area and Northern California. This person will work closely with producers, assignment editors, reporters, and anchors to write, edit, and gather content on all KSTS platforms, linear and digital, including FAST. This individual will be responsible for writing, editing, building graphics, and sometimes filling in as a line producer. Must be willing to work at the station in San Jose or any other part of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibilities
Strong news writing skills and the ability to edit, produce and gather content under heavy deadline pressure, without compromising accuracy or credibility for broadcast and digital.
Invested and engaged in the local community while understanding how to represent viewers in the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Central California markets.
Must be aggressive in breaking news and be able to adjust quickly to changes.
Must understand the station's mission and priorities.
Stay on top of the latest news and graphic tools to produce and showcase stories visually.
Conceptualize, write, and edit stories in different formats.
Ensure accuracy and correct spelling in graphics and banners.
Keep on top of current events and inform the content producer of available material that can be used in the newscast.
Work collaboratively with a diverse team, including digital producers, anchors, and reporters, to deliver cohesive and high-quality content.
Keep abreast of local happenings, using insights to inform content creation that resonates with a bilingual demographic.
Qualifications Basic Requirements
Experience in broadcast television production
Strong news editorial judgment
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required both written and verbal.
Impeccable writing skills
Experience in social and digital platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) to increase viewership.
Ability to develop social and digital content
Proven ability to work quickly under tight deadlines in a live TV environment.
Knowledge and understanding of nonlinear editing systems and workflows
Strong computer skills, with a basic understanding of multi-media file formats
Invested and engaged in the local community and authentically understands and represents the local viewer
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Strong ability to deliver news as it develops on all current and future platforms.

Salary range: $70,000 - $105,000
Compensation $70,000-$70,000 per year
